The Professional Practice Quality & Regulatory Matters (PPQRM) group at EY believes the quality of our services begins with the internal processes that support and enable the delivery of our audit services. We are focused on continuously improving these processes, referred to as our System of Quality Management (SQM). EY’s PPQRM team monitors our SQM to ensure EY has the right policies and procedures to deliver the highest quality audit services.

The opportunity

We are forming a new team focused on monitoring EY’s system of quality management across the Americas, which includes US, Bahamas, Canada, North and South Latin America and Israel. You’ll develop your career by working with all levels of EY management and working across functional areas to evaluate and improve the many functional processes that support our audit services, such human resources, talent development, and workforce planning, to name a few.

EY PPQRM is hiring Staff to join the Americas SQM team. You will be joining a team that works collaboratively and encourages team members to take initiative in various projects that support career growth and development. You will be an integral member of the team that is helping to drive the Firm’s continued focus on audit quality. The role is highly flexible and our team members work remotely.

Key responsibilities

You’ll be collaborating with leadership across multiple service lines and functional areas, that means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices, and we’ll look for you to build relationships and identify areas for improvement. Some responsibilities include:

  • Assist in developing and executing monitoring plans

  • Assist in managing multi-country project plans

  • Assist in developing and presenting reports to EY leadership regarding results and suggested improvements

Skills and attributes of success

  • Critical thinker who can assess quality risks and evaluate whether the Firm’s established processes are appropriately designed to respond and mitigate the identified risks

  • Strong project management skills and ability to flex with evolving priorities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate within a large team; professionally present and engage with EY leadership

To qualify for this role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field

  • 1 to 3 years work experience, ideally as an auditor in a public accounting firm or as an internal auditor within a corporation

  • Experience with SOX (auditing internal controls over financial reporting for public companies)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese or Hebrew a preferred, but not required

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $55,300 to $91,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $66,400 to $103,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
