The opportunity

This role is for an experienced technical leader with good knowledge in Microsoft messaging technologies, including Microsoft 365 Email (Exchange Online) and Exchange 2019. The individual will function as a Technical Product Delivery Manager for the following main areas. Microsoft 365 email (Exchange Online), email Interoperability/Integration (internal applications, 3rd-party vendors, global hybrid email infrastructures, and integration with multiple email systems), overseeing a global routing topology for messaging, as well as strong knowledge of Exchange 2019. The role is part of EY’s global Enterprise Messaging team overseeing a large, complex and multinational environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Core Exchange messaging work (mainly focused on Exchange Online as well as Exchange 2016/2019). The role involves end-to-end ownership and oversight of a globally distributed hybrid email solution.

  • Functioning as a leader for the M365 messaging space (including understanding and participating in technical projects, taking on assigned technical tasks, creating and managing technical documentation, providing guidance to customers as needed, and other project related tasks within the Exchange and M365 space)

  • Providing input and recommendations on areas of service improvement both from a technical point of view, but also from a process perspective.

  • Responsible for certain technical and non-technical deliverables within assigned projects and areas of responsibility, including collaboration with solution architects, engineers, operational staff and project managers

  • Reporting and KPI statistics gathering to complement service ownership

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proactively anticipates service issues before they occur and able to make recommendations around resolution.

  • Providing technical leadership for projects as a subject matter expert or as a representative of the service owner.

  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills are required to manage multiple technical challenges from multiple services and projects simultaneously

  • Evaluate recommendations provided for service improvements, with the ability to identify any gaps or alternate solutions.

  • Proactively anticipate service issues before they occur and be able to drive suggested changes to execution.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server technologies including M365 email (Exchange Online) and Exchange 2019 in large, geographically distributed enterprise environments

  • Windows and Exchange PowerShell scripting skills

  • Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with Identity and Active Directory as it relates to messaging (user objects, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, contacts)

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (especially as it relates to Identity and Access Management)

  • Overall understanding of AD User lifecycle management

  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Purview

  • Experience with advanced Excel (pivot tables, etc.)

  • Experience with Outlook Client and OWA

  • Technical product management skills

  • Good soft skills

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $140,700 to $263,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $168,900 to $299,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
