The opportunity
This opportunity is an ideal role for an individual who wants to directly contribute to EY’s US organization. The Records & Information Management (RIM) subfunction has oversight for a RIM framework that is established in line with the needs of the business to control and govern the lifecycle of records and information at the US level, supporting immediate and future regulatory, legal, risk and operational requirements. It helps the business mitigate risks and costs, demonstrate compliance, defend against claims, and improve operations and productivity.

Your key responsibilities
Responsible for supporting all aspects of the Records and Information Management (RIM) US program and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). Focusing on risk and compliance, you will leverage knowledge and industry expertise to support the global retention schedule, adhere to compliance standards and develop processes for the governance and lifecycle management of EY’s US records and information. You will lead, manage and participate on projects. You will consult and collaborate effectively with key internal and external RIM stakeholders (e.g., Services Lines, Functions, EY Technology, Legal, Data Protection, Acquisitions, members of the Region RIM Liaison network, industry vendors) to drive the design and implementation of solutions across the US business.

To qualify for the role you must have
University graduate; records and information lifecycle / management experience
Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Information Governance Professional (IGP) certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first 2 years
Familiarity with relevant external standards
Understanding of available learning resources, both internal and external
Advanced MS office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fundamental RIM technologies
Excellent technical acumen and ability to use relevant tools that support EY’s records and information management
Familiarity with key RIM regulations, legislations, industry resources and standards, both in the professional services industry and other key corporate business functions (i.e., human resources, finance); RIM lifecycle requirements and techniques
Prior experience in creating and delivering communications
Experience leading multiple projects and virtual, multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams
Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve problems by gathering data from various sources; evaluate alternatives from multiple stakeholder perspectives and understanding impact on business when addressing / resolving issues
Ideally, you’ll also have
Paralegal experience, particularly in litigation
Risk management, legal, policy, or IT lifecycle experience
Certifications such as Information Governance Professional (IGP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Information Privacy Professional (IPP) or willingness to obtain
Ability to influence others without authority
Ability to train and coach senior leaders so that their knowledge and skill sets are enhanced
Ability to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities
Experience of working to deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs
Knowledge of budgets and managing expenditures / resources in order to operate within approved budget guidelines
Ability and willingness to periodically work flexibly e.g., participating in calls outside of standard office hours (early morning/late night) to support our global organization
Willingness to travel domestically, as needed

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $99,300 to $185,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $119,200 to $211,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
