Ernst & Young LLP's (EY) US Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice is a well-established, dynamic and diversified business that is experiencing tremendous current and projected growth. We have made a significant investment in building an on-shore Service Delivery Center based in San Antonio, Texas that will enable our ability to expand the scope of services we provide to the public sector. Our US GPS practice combines deep knowledge and understanding of the diverse needs of the Federal and State and Local sectors, leveraging commercial and private sector leading practices and solutions.
We provide services to both the Federal Government, including the US military and civilian agencies, as well as state, local and municipal governments across a range of offerings including data and analytics, technology automation, financial management, risk assurance, auditing and technical business program management and process improvement. This integrated approach facilitates multidimensional support and flexibility to meet our clients ever-changing needs. And enables our government sector clients to prepare for the future.
The opportunity
The Service Delivery Center is made up of high-performing, US-based resources who work closely with our experienced professionals to deliver project-based work and managed services to our federal clients. The Service Delivery Center is a core component of the Government & Public Sector practice (GPS). This position supports the Assurance team by supervising and performing quality checks on audit reporting and documentation. In this position, Analysts will coach Associate Analyst I, Associate Analyst II, and Analyst positions in skills related to Data and Analytics.
Your key responsibilities
Supervise the work of Associate Analyst I, Associate Analyst II, and Analyst
Manage the administration of audit reporting and documentation
Identify potential audit issues or unusual relationships from analysis of financial statements
Apply accounting and auditing concepts to client situations
Assume responsibility for the documentation and execution of specific audit procedures
Identify opportunities to enhance audit techniques
Oversee the development of audit and accounting client deliverables
Perform financial and audit data analytics
Monitor project scope and schedule and the progress of client engagement deliverables.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across other EY functional groups
Meet engagement project expectations defined by project and engagement stakeholders
Identify, communicate and address project risks, assumptions and constraints
Direct field work, inform supervisors of the engagement status and manage Analyst performance
Assist in managing resources, communications, and cost management of projects/programs
Demonstrate the ability to effectively negotiate priorities across multiple groups/teams
Manage the collection and documentation of client financial and audit data for weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting
Accept responsibility for delivery of engagement specific tasks as directed
Oversee, review and analyze the work of lower level ranks, Associate Analyst I, Associate Analyst II, and Analyst
To qualify for the role, you must have
United States citizenship; and must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 years' experience (with at least one (1) years' federal experience) in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting related field
Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to monitor and manage project milestone deadlines and budget requirements
Ability to evaluate project structure accuracy and adjust, if necessary
Experience working with accounting, business management and/or technology and data analytics concepts
Confidence working with a nationally distributed team and ability to oversee and direct resources in a managed services environment
Ability manage teams to meet tight deadlines and follow up on open issues
Excellent English language skills ' both written and verbal
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Travel may be required up to 20% of your time
Ideally you'll also have
CGFM or CDFM are desirable
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $48,000 to $98,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $57,500 to $111,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
