As a GPS Reporting Business Intelligence – Supervising Associate, you’ll lead the reporting efforts for one of our key business systems, Deltek Costpoint, and related applications. Your role is critical to providing insight into GPS data and performing analyses to achieve its goals.
This role will report to GPS Operations.
Your key responsibilities
Serve as subject matter expert for Costpoint Enterprise Reporting (CER) across GPS
Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Costpoint Enterprise Reporting application
Integrate data from other applications as required to meet end-user needs
Assist with automation of data migration as required
Possess an in-depth understanding of Costpoint data and table structure in order to mine data for functional stakeholders across the company to enable data visibility and reporting from Costpoint and CER
Interface with other GPS enablement teams to enable meaningful access to data from Costpoint
Identify business intelligence, reporting and data analysis needs
Work with stakeholders to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions
Provide data that is accurate and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems
Educate and train customers to use the data as an analytical tool displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration
Work with customers to determine business requirements, priorities, and define key performance indicators (KPI)
Participate in special projects as directed by management
Skills and attributes for success
Expert level understanding of Deltek Costpoint and the CER application
Demonstrated experience executing significant cross-functional projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to synthesize customer requirements and turn them into effective data insights
Analytical and problem-solving skills which allow for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting
Ability to work with a diverse and geographically distributed team
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant accounting / financial reporting experience in a government contracting environment
Experience with Costpoint CER
Experience is Cognos query DESIGN
Demonstrated fundamental SQL abilities and experience with data analysis or reporting
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point
Ability to obtain a government security clearance, if required
