The opportunity
We are looking for an all-rounder Financial Services Associate Lawyer, with one to four years of relevant experience, to join our Financial Services Law team in the Sydney office.
In this role the work will be varied and will involve financial services regulatory reform programs, transactional work in the financial services sector, establishment of investment funds, license applications, advising on new financial products and advising on regulator investigations.
Your key responsibilities
Contract and report drafting
Interpreting andanalysing legislation and ASIC guidance
Engaged in thedevelopment of new financial services businesses, new financial products andadvising on the constantly changing regulatory issues affecting the financialservices sector
Advising on the structureof new financial products and advising on regulatory and licensing compliance
Advising on regulatoryreform programs for our bank, insurance, superannuation and investmentmanagement clients
Building strongrelationships with external clients and internal stakeholders across EY

Skills and attributes for success
One to four yearspost qualification experience
Financial service andcorporate law experience with a passion for the financial service sector
Demonstrate strongtechnical and drafting skills
Excellent client facingskills and strong commercial acumen
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience in working aspart of a team, with the ability to build effective internal and externalrelationships
Excellent communication skills and keenattention to detail
