Join Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services (FIDS) within Assurance and you will help clients work through complex issues of fraud, regulatory compliance and business disputes. You will be part of a multidisciplinary, culturally aligned team that works with clients and their legal advisors.

The successful candidate will join one of Oceania’s fastest growing forensic practices. The multi-disciplined FIDS team includes accountants, risk managers, technology specialists and former regulatory and law enforcement professionals.

The opportunity

In this role you will be working on some of the largest high profile disputes, investigations and regulatory matters in one of the most exciting areas of professional services. You will work alongside an experienced leadership group that is focused on driving growth in the New Zealand market.

Your key responsibilities

This role will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with major clients to understand and oversee complex forensic accounting issues, ensuring high quality project delivery

  • Working as part of a team on fraud and misconduct investigations

  • Liaising with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, lawyers, insurers and Partners

  • Conducting complex analysis and modelling

  • Drafting investigation and expert witness reports, ensuring high quality project delivery

  • Contributing to the development of the FIDS team as a whole

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Previous work experience as a forensic accountant or within corporate compliance or risk management roles

  • Report writing skills and attention to detail is a must

  • High proficiency with excel and financial models

  • A willingness to travel within Australia and abroad

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience within a similar consulting environment

  • A detailed knowledge of accounting concepts and GAAP

  • Membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent
