The opportunity
We are looking for Senior Consultants and Managers to join our growing Actuarial Services team (Life Insurance, Superannuation and Wealth Management sectors) in our Sydney office.
Your key responsibilities
Helpclients to gain fresh insights to quantify their risk and improve theirperformance
Deliverpragmatic commercial solutions to our clients
Workin multi-disciplinary teams, valuing and interpreting other subject matterexpertise to build new solutions for our clients
Interpretresults from analysis to bring to light the issues that matter
Work with a number of senior actuaries and stakeholdersacross a diverse range of projects, including business transformation,capital and risk management, pricing, product innovation, liabilityvaluation and appointed actuary work
Skills and attributes for success
To qualifyfor the role you must have
Stronganalytical, problem-solving and other quantitative skills (Actuariespreferred, but not mandatory)
Strongverbal and written communication skills
Detailedknowledge, experience and interest in the life insurance, superannuationor wealth management sectors across one or more of the following areas:product development and pricing, capital management, risk management,asset and liability valuation, IFRS 17, embedded value reporting, unitpricing, superannuation and retirement incomes
Ability to manage projects, pursue new opportunities anddevelop and mentor junior staff as appropriate
Stay up to date with market trends, legislationand regulatory changes and contribute to business thought leadership
Build and manage trusted clientrelationships
Ideally,you’ll also have
Soundbusiness experience, client management and project management skills thatallow you to frame advice in a way that is helpful for business results
An ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
