EY’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) division offers organisations professional transaction advice and support, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through execution, to transaction integration.

EY’s Transaction Advisory Services was ranked number 1 in Mergermarket’s Oceania Accountancy Advisor league tables on highest value and volume of deals for four years running – FY14, FY15, FY16 and FY17.

Our Operational Transaction Services (OTS) – Financial Services team within TAS provide financial services clients with hands-on support to help them ‘buy and integrate’ or ‘sell and separate’. Key services include M&A management consulting across operational due diligence, synergy identification & assessment, post merger integration, carve-out support and benefits realisation.

We are looking for experienced Managers/Senior Managers to join our OTS team due to significant growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clientengagement teams to execute acquisitions and/or divestments.

  • Demonstrateknowledge of all phases and aspects of practice across due diligence, integrationscarve-outs, and other types of transaction engagements.

  • Demonstratestrong transaction and operational knowledge in Financial Services.

  • Provideengagement team leadership in fostering an open and inclusive environmentand effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills andbackgrounds.

  • Demonstratean ability to not only identify integration risks and issues, butrecommend resolutions and mitigating actions.

  • Leadbusiness development activities to sell work through development ofinternal and external client relationship networks.

  • Delivera high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and workproducts sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements.

  • Successfullysupervise, coach, and mentor all team members to help build theirtechnical capability and assist in achieving their potential.

  • Activeinvolvement in leading practice management initiatives includingbuilding/refining methodologies and developing training initiatives tohelp develop the team.

Toqualify, candidates must have:

  • Abachelor's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience

  • Strongtrack record in management consulting preferably with an exposure to thetransactions environment and preferably in the Financial Services sector

  • Experienceand strong technical skills in relevant areas such as operational duediligence, synergy identification & assessment, post-mergerintegration or carve-out support and benefits realisation

  • Provenclient management skills, with the ability to build and develop networksand relationships with both external and internal contacts

  • Abilityto adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment

  • Robustleadership skills to enable effective team management and coaching

  • A provenstrong team player who demonstrates commitment to quality, sharingresponsibility and maintaining effective communication

The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
