The opportunity

We are looking for a Platform Engineer, who will be responsible forthe install, uplift and configuration of analytics data and reporting platform for our team.

EY DnA is the data and advanced analytics capability within EY Asia-Pacific, with over 500 specialist employees working across multiple industry sectors.

We implement information-driven strategies and systems that help grow, optimize and protect client organizations.

We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.

Your key responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to development teams to assist in the adoption and implementation of DevOps practices including adoption of continuous integration (CI) / continuous delivery (CD)

  • Configure and supports centralised build and deployment infrastructure

  • Work with development teams to configure CI/CD pipelines

  • Automate the creation of environments and installation of software

  • Automate manual, repetitive tasks related to software build, deployment and operations

  • Develop guidelines and support documentation

  • Contribute to research into existing and emerging technologies to enable DevOps

  • Ensure solutions delivered are fit for purpose, meet security, risk and audit requirements, meet customer expectations and do not cause high severity outages

  • Collaborate with individuals and teams to promote knowledge sharing

  • Escalate risks and issues to the Build Manager or Project Manager as appropriate

  • Provide regular contribution to team knowledge base, product wikis and support documentation

  • Maintain documentation for environment details

  • Provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders

  • Implement cloud solutions and technologies

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience in supporting and documenting install and configuration of Microsoft Azure and Power BI Data and Analytics Platforms

  • Experience in implementation of Data Integration between Enterprise Core Systems into Data and Analytics Platforms

  • Experience in development of data and analytics platforms and reporting solutions

  • Experience in DevOps and other release management technologies

  • Experience in developing release documentation

  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance – due to the nature of this role, this is essential

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in using Microsoft DevOps to plan and manage releases

  • Experience in using Azure Data Factory and CI/CD pipelines for release management

  • Supported Production Implementation planning and cutover

  • Supported multiple Data and Analytics platforms to for Build, Test and Training

  • Industry experience in government data solutions

The preferred applicant will be subject to employment screening by EY or by their external third-party provider. Regarding this role, the minimum salary is $70,000 including 9.5% superannuation.
