You can be part of an innovative and dynamic team, offering a new level of excellence in Risk Assurance.


As a Senior Consultant within the Risk Assurance team you will provide clients with a candid and reliable overview of their IT risk landscape and the controls in place. You will work with clients as an IT risk and audit professional to help create trust and confidence in their financial reporting related controls, provide assurance related to IT internal controls, assess IT risks and controls and provide industry/sector insights and thought leadership with a focus on IT risk and control matters.

Your keyresponsibilities

  • Identify key risk areas withinclient organisations associated with IT governance, information security,systems & project change, and IT operations – and make suggestions toassist a client in managing these risks.

  • IT Assurance/Financial AuditSupport - including the execution of evaluating the design and operation of ITcontrols (e.g. application & general controls) in support of an externalaudit.

  • IT Internal audits – includingthe execution of audits of IT processes against leading practice IT risk andsecurity frameworks and common standards (e.g. CoBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO20000), process mapping and data analytics.

  • IT Program/Project Assurance– including the facilitation of project definition documentation that upholdthe prudency and efficiency principles and detailing scope, timing, cost,resourcing, quality and risk.

  • Working effectively as a teammember – sharing responsibilities in developing and coaching junior staff,providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team memberson progress

  • Ability to contribute to highquality deliverables which provide relevant insights underpinned by a keenattention to detail

  • The skills to apply astructured approach to project management and documentation, and a demonstratedunderstanding of risk based auditing methodologies

To qualifyfor the role you must have

  • Experience with aglobally/nationally recognized blue chip, government or professional servicesfirm or large corporation in IT Audit/IT Risk

  • 3+ years, experience in havingapplied relevant technical knowledge in a selection of the following;

  • IT general controls in association with financial statement audits;

  • Internal, operational or performance IT audits including process mappingand data analytics; and/or

  • IT/ERP security and controls reviews

  • Demonstrated project management and relationship building capabilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

  • Experience in leading, supervising and coaching teams across multipleengagement teams and projects

  • A relevant Bachelor's and/or Post Graduate qualification (Professionalcertifications such as CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA will be highly regarded)

  • Australian Citizenship and the eligibility for security clearance

Ideally,you’ll also have

  • Efficient and articulatereport writing skills

  • Demonstrated the ability toeffectively manage client relationships and expectations
