Our Financial Services IT Advisory team provides service offerings including IT Strategy and Transformation; Major Program Transformation; Enterprise Solutions; Digital & Emerging Technologies and Data & Analytics. We advise executives on how to improve the business using technology, transitioning organisations from legacy to innovative technology.
As an IT Advisory professional, you’ll help businesses realise the value they can gain from their IT investments through supporting strategy and being a key growth driver.
As part of a high-performing team you’ll deliver exceptional client service, providing advice on how technology enablement, digital transformation and enterprise intelligence contribute to performance improvement, as well as how IT can act as a multiplying effect during major program transformations. In return for your efforts you will be exposed to interesting projects with some of the major players within the industry.
Your key responsibilities
In your role you will:
Work collaboratively with clients, establishing a business-driven vision for the future of their IT systems, processes and infrastructure through the application of leading practices and improving their capabilities
Develop a structured view of the operational interactions between the application and infrastructure components and build a road map of the future state.
Skills and attributes for success
Looking for suitable candidates with ‘some or many’ of the following skills and experience:
Identify the scope of testing and design the test strategy and test plans, including data and environment management.
Oversee and coordinate all Test plans and activities.
Manage testing lifecycle and testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
Determine project testing standards for all phases, influencing all parties to conform to those standards.
Manage stakeholder relationships with respect to all testing matters.
Coordinate and drive testing resources Onshore and Offshore, if necessary.
Prepare test and defect status reports.
Ability to identify test scheduling issues, escalate risks and develop solution strategies to problems identified in each test phase.
Manage test case preparation and test case execution.
Manage defect logging and retest activities.
Chair the defect triage meeting.
Assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives, including automated testing and regression suits.
Work with the Program Test Manager to oversee UAT governance, facilitate business decisions as necessary and ensure outcomes are documented, prioritised and signed off.
To qualify for the role you must have
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in test management and 7+ years of testing in general.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the Financial Services area.
Experience developing Test strategies, Plans and test cases.
Proven experience in management / coordination of testers and project stakeholders (business analysts, vendors, developers).
Ability to coordinate manual and automation tests.
Previous experience in reviewing, understanding and suggesting pragmatic improvements to an existing test strategy.
Understanding of the software test life cycle as well as the business approach for the product.
Willingness to learn, show a high tech aptitude with a great attitude and strong analytical skills.
