The Senior Associate will be based in EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS) organization in Manila and will be a key member of the wider Global PR and Communications team. The individual will work across time zones within the Asia-Pacific Financial Services Marketing team, whose team members are based between Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney.
The ideal candidate should have working knowledge and experience supporting internal communications and media relations, as well as content creation and social media. S/he should have a thirst for knowledge, be capable of managing multiple projects, and have an eye for detail. The candidate should have strong English written and spoken communications skills to position ideas to knowledgeable and high-performing teams. The candidate should also have a creative flair and passion for content writing.
The candidate should be an experienced, organized, proactive, energetic and detail-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of planning, practical execution and program support. The candidate should have the experience and positive attitude to integrate with and play an active role in the wider EY APAC FSO Communications strategy. S/he also is required to have strong analytical, creative and critical thinking skills. The candidate should also have the ability to present information clearly and logically.
In terms of tasks, the Senior Associate shall provide the team with a range of support, including content creation and editing (following EY style guidelines), online community and content management (including SharePoint and social ad buying tools), and research and measurement (across social media and mainstream media, including competitor analysis and research projects).
The individual should have deep knowledge and best practices of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, WeChat, and Instagram.
Roles and responsibilities:
Works as part of a team to support EY communications and social media activity across Asia-Pacific financial services.
Produces excellent, quick, clean and engaging content even in demanding situations – including blogs, editorials, op-eds, intranet stories, and social posts; excellent English written comprehension essential.
Can identify the central story, news angle, or take complex ideas and simplify them for the given audience when developing content
Plays an active role on the team, suggesting creative ideas and components for programs and initiatives
Able to set-up, publish and monitor multiple communications campaigns and standalone content across internal and external facing channels (SharePoint, Sprinklr, Smarp etc.)
Experience in social ad buying execution for social media platforms and content marketing
Employs best practices for measuring the impact of PR and social media campaigns, media monitoring analysis and reporting
Initiates and manages the internal content reviews (Score, etc.)
Provides competitive analysis, media audits, tracking and research projects
Able to team remotely across the Asia-Pacific region; cognizant of geographic and cultural differences across teams
Knowledge and skills:
Has sufficient social media experience and in-depth knowledge to manage and support someone who is providing social media engagement and community management: monitoring/listening across corporate social channels, initiating and actively responding to conversations or comments using EY social media guidelines
Has the ability to advise on social media technologies and provide data-driven insights
Has the drive to promote innovation in the social space and to sell ideas of new approaches and ideas internally
Has experience writing for web and social on mainstream channels
Has familiarity with Boolean search
Supports stakeholders and colleagues with design and creation of compelling content, taking the lead on creation where possible
Communicates clearly and effectively across all deliverables, including stakeholder communications, measurement and status reports; able to manage up when dealing with senior leaders as stakeholders
Leads by example, taking a positive attitude at all times, embracing opportunities, working collaboratively and swiftly, and ensures that all involved parties and team are kept abreast of issues/concerns
Demonstrates outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities, whilst simultaneously meeting deadlines and generating quality results
Acts as an ambassador for EY Brand, Marketing and Communications across all internal and external engagements
Has the flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing business situations
Essential: MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Basic Excel; Sprinklr (or equivilant), Smarp / LinkedIn Elevate (or equivilant), social ad buying tools including LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Kantar/ Factiva (or equivalent)
Desirable: Web trends, SharePoint, Marketing and email automation tools like BrightCove, PoliteMail, Adobe Analytics, Telum Media
8 years of overall work experience with at least 5 years of work experience in Social Media
Must be amenable to work in McKinley West, Taguig City
