IT Advisor, Technology Solutions Delivery (Finance Management) – Financial Services Office (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) , Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Tampa, FL.

Lead the delivery of IT transformational services to help clients translate their business problems into technology solutions. Work with clients on large and complex technology initiatives, including design, build and deployment of technology solutions to help clients enhance the effectiveness of their finance and operations functions. Manage programs/project teams through all phases of the technology delivery life cycle. Lend specific subject matter knowledge to the design and integration phase of each project, ensuring that IT systems and processes support the shift from transaction-level control, processing, and reporting to decision support and analytics.

Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 8 years of experience (of which 5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience) defining business and technical requirements. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 7 years of work experience defining business and technical requirements.

Must have 3 years of experience in BCM and Insurance finance, finance process analysis, performance measurement, bank regulatory reporting, Dodd-Frank requirements, and FSA global regulatory requirements.

Must have 3 years of experience in financial system tools, technologies, and architectures, including at least one of the following:

  • Oracle Financials;

  • Hyperion;

  • PeopleSoft Financials;

  • SAP;

  • Cognos;

  • MicroStrategy;

  • Business Objects;

  • SimCorp Dimension;

  • SunGard;

  • Calypso;

  • PAM;

  • OFSAA

Must have 4 years of experience in at least one of the following:

  • designing business and technology architecture;

  • system implementation;

  • data mapping and conversion;

  • proof of concept;

  • quality assurance and testing;

  • business and IT process reengineering.

Must have 3 years of experience in program/project management and implementation planning (PMO).

Must have 3 years of experience in supervising a team of technology advisors through all phases of the technology life-cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing.

Must have 5 years of experience with system implementation execution, system implementation design, and/or lean/six-sigma operational improvement projects.

Must have 5 years of experience working at a financial services company or working as an advisor to a financial services company.

Must have 5 years’ experience using business process, organizational and technology capabilities, and knowledge across three of the following focus areas:

  • Finance Strategy (Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles);

  • Financial Accounting and Reporting operations/technology;

  • Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting operations/technology;

  • Performance Management and Measurement (KPIs and business driver-based metrics);

  • General Ledger/ERP Systems features/functionality;

  • Subledger and Data Warehousing features/functionality;

  • Financial Close and Reconciliations features/functionality;

  • Statutory Reporting Systems features/functionality;

  • Enterprise Technology Expense Reduction

Must have 3 years of experience in technical architecture design.

Must have 5 years in technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database management systems, query tools, and business intelligence technology) in financial systems architecture.

Must have 5 years of experience in 3 of the following areas:

  • Finance transformation and accelerated close;

  • Sub-ledger/ledger redesign;

  • Management reporting enhancement;

  • Business intelligence/decision support;

  • Enterprise application integration;

  • Financial planning;

  • Budgeting and forecasting;

  • Business/merger integration;

  • Reconciliation redesign or reconciliation improvement.

Requires travel up to 70%, of which 20% may be international, in order to serve client needs.
