The opportunity

The Onboarding & Learning Specialist will be responsible for the planning, administration and delivery of our Welcome to EY (WTEY) program reporting to the Onboarding & Transitions Manager, part of the Talent Development & Learning team. They will also assist with onboarding initiatives, talent development and learning projects, cross-service line learning, learning compliance, operational tasks, and all other administrative items. They will be instrumental in supporting and guiding our new joiners as they transition into EY

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage and assist in the deployment and delivery of the WTEY program for experienced and campus new joiners

  • Train and manage a roster of presenters and act as a back-up presenter as needed

  • Deal with the planning, administration and ongoing maintenance of the WTEY program

  • Gather, modify, create, maintain and/or track data and reports related to new starts

  • Work with Global Delivery Services (GDS) to award continuing education (CE) credits in SAP SuccessFactors

  • Oversee coordination of all global and regional required mandatory learning and assign new joiner learning for Canada

  • Coordinate with other Canadian onboarding stakeholders to define Canadian new joiner learning requirements

  • Work with the Canadian Risk Management team to create and/or set up and assign Canadian specific mandatory e-learning for new joiners as required

  • Update and maintain learner communications in Canadian Jam/SharePoint site as required

  • Be the single point of contact (SPOC) for any questions regarding mandatory or assigned learning for Canadian new joiners

  • Assist in various ad-hoc projects where required

  • Show initiative to identify efficiencies

  • Use good judgment in applying concepts and guidelines and follow through on commitments

  • May also be requested to work extra hours during important deadlines

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Exceptional project management skills and accuracy for processing sensitive information

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization at all levels

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to exhibit tact and diplomacy in order to deal effectively with people and situations to ensure everyone feels they belong

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management Platform, Zoom technology and MS Teams

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively

  • Good understanding of the business, the strategies and priorities, and how they translate into learning and development needs

  • Experience working in learning operations or a similar function required

  • Flexibility to work additional hours

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 2-4 years related job experience

  • Proficiency in both English and French required
