The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design and creation of assets to help the firm win large, strategic, must-win pursuits through digital enablement of pursuit collateral, tailored to clients. Responsible for providing artistic direction to bring concepts to life through the development of a design concept, plan, storyboards and execution to deliver high quality and innovative content while directly consulting with internal clients. Creates complex graphics and works with Motion Graphic Designers (on-and-offshore) in the development of animated graphics and infographics, kinetic typography and pre/post production videos for pursuits.

EssentialFunctions of the Job:

  • Support the firm with designneeds for proposals, presentations and other pursuit collateral byaccomplishing tasks as needed

  • Provide artistic direction frominitial concept through completion in the development of electronic andprint projects

  • Apply advanced design skills toleading graphic design and innovative production techniques while adheringto the firm’s brand

  • Effectively create layouts withstrong typography and appropriate use of colour, images and fonts, allowingfor readability of type

  • Develop interactivepresentations using a variety of software tools

  • Maintain expertise in designsoftware tools and proficiency in firm standard load set

  • Collaborate with editors, producersand other designers to resolve technical or design issues on-and-offshore

  • Consult in pursuit meetings anddiscussions related to appropriate graphic methods/techniques to meetrequirements

  • Share knowledge with pursuitteams related to graphic design processes, methods and techniqueson-and-offshore

  • Understand, implement andstrictly adhere to the quality standards and procedures established by thefirm

  • Review final layouts andsuggest improvements when necessary

  • Assist in establishing vendor lists,develop and maintain vendor relationships and work with external vendorsregarding the coordination of production

  • Prepare budget and timelineestimates for project deliverables keeping internal clients up-to-date onstatus

Knowledgeand Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to think strategicallyto relate design work to the client's business needs

  • Excellent communication,interpersonal and teaming skills

  • Ability to lead projectteams, manage multiple assignments and function as a meeting facilitator

  • Experience working in acorporate environment and adhering to internal branding standards an asset

  • Understanding of marketing,production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging,advertisements and multimedia design

  • Advanced skills level in theuse of Mac based design software including Photoshop, Illustrator,InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, etc.

  • Advanced formatting skills inPC based standard load set applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Demonstrated ability in photography to capture and edit visual content an asset

· Demonstrated ability in illustration an asset

  • Solid understanding ofcopyright rules and regulations

  • Some travel to other EYoffices may be required

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of graphicdesign experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphicdesign

  • College diploma or technicalcertificate in graphic arts design
