This role is an 6-month position as a People Consultant at the Supervising Associate level supporting the Advisory Service Line. The Advisory People Consultant acts as the first point of contact for employees and leaders in select practices. The incumbent may be solely assigned to practices/areas with consideration given to the complexity, geography and/or size of the client group. The People Consultant acts as an advisor and collaborates with key business leaders on people issues and provides vision, strategic direction, and sponsorship for people initiatives for Advisory. The incumbent possesses a deep understanding of the business directions/needs of the practices/area; knows the people and people issues; helps to ensure successful implementation of key, high-touch people processes and initiatives in line with the business strategies. The incumbent also monitors and acts as strategic partner regarding recruiting, resourcing, compensation, promotion, and development processes teaming with other Canada Talent Team (CTT) teams to ensure effective support for the Advisory practice.
Your key responsibilities:
Serves as first point of contact for employees and senior leaders in a practice area / geography. Coordinates and communicates with partner and associate partner team in practice area/geography to deliver talent initiatives and guidance to support Advisory’s strategy.
In coordination with lead PCs in the Advisory Talent team, supports project planning and implementation of major national talent processes including compensation planning, performance management, talent development, onboarding / integration, workforce planning and employee engagement strategies.
For one or more smaller national programs, leads most aspects of program design, planning and implementation, working closely with the Advisory Talent team and the practice.
Provides reporting, analysis, communication and other required support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives as they arise throughout the year.
Serves as the first point of contact on employee relations issues; manages/handles issues as appropriate, working closely with other members of the Advisory Talent team as needed
Works closely with Recruitment, Experience Management and practice leadership to deliver effectively against the workforce plan in a practice area/ geography
Coordinates with People Shared Services staff to ensure proper handling of administrative issues and needs.
Provides reporting and analytical support on a national basis.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years related experience in an HR specialist/ generalist capacity
Proficiency in the following competencies:

developing experience and understanding of employment legislation
