The opportunity

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team in a growing area of the technology transformation. This is a high-profile role, in which you’ll have plenty of opportunities to showcase your ability to not only coach a team but establish and maintain new customer relationships. As you do, we’ll support you in developing consultancy and analytical skills – along with relationships that could define your career growth.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll handle a wide portfolio of clients, each with their own backgrounds, strengths and ambitions, so no two days will be the same. That could mean working to improve our clients’ culture, delivery processes, agile way of working, cybersecurity, adoption of cloud and DevSecOps tools, or modernization of IT operations. Wherever you find yourself, you’ll be making a visible impact on projects that cross borders and challenge conventional wisdom to encourage transformation. You’ll often work on-site to personally understand and influence our clients – which could require you to be ready for some travel (not applicable during the global pandemic and only when it is safe to do so).

  • Understand future customer, industry and information technology trends and applying this understanding to develop robust transformation capabilities and to identify opportunities for future business

  • Select, tailor and apply formal agile delivery and support methods to analyze customer needs and develop requirements for bespoke instantiation of EY Infinity capabilities

  • Evaluate potential solution elements using a formal methodology and select the most appropriate approach based on client’s business and technical needs

  • Assess business and technical impact of agile-way-of-working to understand trade-offs, required customizations and benefits that will be realized

  • Acting as a leader driving all aspects of technology transformation including DevSecOps strategy definition, transformation roadmap, conceptual integrated tool-chain architecture, delivery-operations process due diligence, redesign and delivery of robust DevSecOps solutions

  • Solid understanding of application, data / information and technology delivery and operational processes to support the definition an optimal transformation

  • Providing trusted advice on how digital transformation, technology enablement and cloud adoption can lead to improved performance

  • Effectively work with other team members to understand customer needs and to design, evaluate and develop DevSecOps solutions which meet those needs

  • Guide and influence team members, including customer, vendor and subcontractor personnel to accomplish the teams technical and schedule goals

  • Provide feedback to the team about new or emerging client needs and demonstrate an understanding of EYs key competitive capabilities and value propositions for relevant clients

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Ten or more years of experience in a leadership & consultative capacity

  • Seven or more years of experience managing a full lifecycle solution implementation

  • Three or more years of architecture experience

  • Ten or more years of experience working with different solution delivery / implementation methodologies (i.e. waterfall, RUP, ASCEND, Agile, etc.)

  • Seven or more years of experience with agile delivery and operational models (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, ITIL, etc.)

  • Five plus years of working experience working with DevSecOps tools, such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian family of tools, Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, Anchor, Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform, Splunk, ServiceNow, etc.

  • Familiarity with different industries best practices, trends, integration and deployment techniques and standards such as Microservices and FDX

  • Ability to lead agile/DevOps activities within one or across multiple clients, including leading all or portions of the project, organizing the team, defining tasks, tracking and reporting progress, delivering on time and within budget, and delivering results to the customer

  • Ability to develop rapport with others by demonstrating an understanding of their concerns, needs and issues and focus on developing an internal network of relationships that can provide advice and support

  • Ability to anticipate potential problems associated with the solution being developed by managing/mitigating process, technology and people risks

  • Ability to take full responsibility for tasks including consistently reviewing EY team work to identify and improve EY’s approach for producing quality work products


  • A bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or similar discipline; supported by experience in a similar technical environment

  • SAFe, ITIL or any other delivery/operations methodology certification is a plus


  • Experience in leading a medium to large size team of 6 to 20 cross-functional resources

  • A customer-focused approach to work, and the ability to translate often-complex requirements into decisive digital delivery/support platform strategies

  • The confidence to build lasting relationships and influence senior colleagues and clients from a wide range of backgrounds

  • A flair for identifying and capitalizing on new revenue streams
