This role will work with the Shared Business Platform (Client Technology) to deliver a quality service within Production Support and Operations - Analytics team. Will be responsible to provide operational level 3 support for production applications in the Managed Service Environment (Cloud and On-Prem). Responsibilities involve the onboarding of new engagements to Azure/PowerBI Service/Power BI Report Server/Tableau/Spotfire/Hortonworks managed service environment, daily management of incidents, operational maintenance and support, development support, and proactive/preventative analysis of systems. Demonstrates knowledge of key EY IT Support Processes and services, within agreed areas of expertise. Ability to work in shifts and available on call (on rotation basis).
Provision new analytics engagements in Azure/Power BI Service/Embedded, publish dashboards, manage users and create usage metrics.
Develop, maintain and support data movement scripts (SSIS) and scheduled jobs for internal and external client engagements.
Maintain operations metrics dashboard developed in Tableau. This may require self learning and/or on job training (from other team members) with report development in Tableau.
Close interaction with MS Operations L3 and other L3 Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT)Technical teams to ensure high quality service.
Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosis of incidents relating to off-the-shelf and proprietary applications and/or platforms
Maintain contact with the Analytics and BI Team for Tableau application status, upgrades etc.
Accountable for ensuring all incidents and problems related to the service are resolved within agreed SLA’s regardless of which IT function is responsible to resolve
Execute defined responsibilities using IT procedures where required e.g.
AD Group creation/management
File share management
User Management (user creation, access rights, deletions)
Tableau and Spotfire application set up for new clients in the cloud and on prem environments
Maintain all documentation in appropriate repository
Identify opportunities to enhance the support processes for an application or reduce manual intervention required via more automation.
Maintain contact with peers in IT Services functions (particularly Production Services) to encourage cross functional teaming and knowledge sharing
Communicates fluently orally and in writing and can present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Is able to plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality targets.
Required Skills (5-7 years of total work experiene with 3-4 years of experience in following)
Strong Admin Experience in Azure Cloud and Power BI Service/Embedded and Power BI Report Server (Similar experience in Tableau/Spotfire a plus)
Demonstrable experience working with SSIS/ETL
Experience with SQL Server development and/or with SSIS Scheduled Jobs
Knowledge of horton works data flow (HDF) and Horton Work Data Platform (HDP). (Any level of hand on experience development or administration HDF/HDP will be a big plus!)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with close attention to detail (very important)
Flexibility to learn to support new analytics technolgies as those are introduced in the platform
Ability/Experiences in working with different teams (with a consulting mindset) solving problems, getting the things done and update the stake holders in a timely fashion.
Understanding on the procedure to carry out activities like AD Group creation, User Management (User Creation, Access rights, deletion etc)
Experience working in a virtual environment
General understanding of various IT Process/Security concepts.
Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Good understanding of ITIL process/guidelines for Incident, Problem and Change Management
Executing scheduled or unscheduled tasks relating to operational maintenance and monitoring of applications
Experience supporting big data tool stack integrated with Power BI, Tableau or Spotfire in server environment.
Experience with Big Data Stack including how multiple open source tools work together (Hive, HBase, R, Neo4j, Anaconda, Jupyter and MongoDB)
Experience with trouble shooting performance issues that require analysis of big data design, tableau/spotfire work book design or hadoop integration with Tableau.
Knowledge of Stored Procedures, and Data Transformation Services
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Fluent in English language, written and verbal
Total 5-7 years of experience in skill set and in job responsibilities listed. Certifications (Desirable)
ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
