You will be responsible for managing multiple client engagement teams at a junior level within the practice and the firm. Engagements focus on the assessment and/or evaluation of IT systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risks. Engagements may be either assurance and/or risk advisory in nature, and vary considerably in size and complexity. All of our IT Risk & Assurance services are designed for the dual purpose of strengthening internal controls and, in so doing, helping to improve IT and business performance.
Your key responsibilities
As a Staff/Advanced Staff within İT Risk Assurance team, you will participate in performing procedures focusing on complex and specialized issues. You will work with the team that creates plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and addresses the risks inherent in the engagement.
Skills and attributes for success
Collaborating with members of the engagement team to plan engagements and develop work programs, risk assessments and other planning documents
Working with audit teams to document business processes dependent on information technology
Performing assessments of IT general controls including review of policies, processes and technical configurations for in-scope systems (e.g. application, network, operating system and databases)
Ensuring high quality in client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status
Communicating issues to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations
Applying strong project management skills, inspiring teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and using current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services
Contributing to the growth of the practice and build your professional brand.
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems business and/or other related major
Candidates must be willing to pursue related professional designates (e.g. CISA, CISSP, etc.)
Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English, Russian and Azerbaijan
Leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to work within deadlines by multi-tasking and managing priorities
Accounting or related financial educational background is considered an asset
Previous experience in IT audit, information security, IT risk management is considered an asset
Knowledge of internal controls is considered an asset (e.g. COBIT, COSO, etc.)
Ideally, you will also have
· Good English (verbal/writing)
· Good knowledge of MS Office
· Availability for overtime work and tough deadlines
· Ability to travel
