This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team at EY UK, helping the business to further strengthen our brand in the marketplace through our longstanding partnerships with the arts and culture sector.
The role will primarily be responsible for designing the strategy and delivering our UK wide arts partnership programme. They will work closely with colleagues across the BMC function to create integrated marketing campaigns that underpin our purpose of Building a Better Working World and enable us to engage key clients, maximise employee engagement and serve the communities across which EY operates.
The Senior Marketing Manager will report into the Brand Programmes Senior Manager and works closely with a senior sponsoring partner in the business, as well as a network of other very senior stakeholders.This role will be aligned to one of EY’s UK offices and may require trips to London.
Your key responsibilities
Develop the EY Arts strategy in line with our overriding BMC objectives; supporting ambitious growth targets and differentiating the EY brand in the market.
Develop new programmes of activity and build on ones already in place, which underpin our Purpose and EY’s standing as a leading supporter of the arts and culture sector. Develop accompanying multi-channel brand campaigns.
Build a network of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the arts programme meets the needs of the business and the benefit is felt across our clients, our people and the communities we operate within.
Increase client and staff engagement, including across the closing months of ‘The EY Exhibition: The Making of Rodin’ and planning for our upcoming EY Exhibition at Tate Modern in autumn 2022. As well as building on the mental wellbeing programme which has significantly amplified during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Manage the relationship with all our partner art galleries nationally and in London.
Review partnerships with current galleries against strategy and make recommendations. Negotiating and re-negotiating as needed.
Work with our arts partners to agree objectives, KPIs and deliverables and track our return on investment.
Lead a flexible team which will be aligned to the programme according to need.
Review and advise on ad-hoc opportunities for sponsorship.
Skills and attributes for success
Strong interest in the arts and culture sector and understanding of key trends and challenges facing the sector.
Proven experience of managing high-profile sponsorships and brand programmes, including demonstrable success in rights valuation; proposition development; and creating and delivering campaign strategies with a multi-channel approach that drive a distinctive and engaging brand promise.
Track record in managing large scale sponsorship relationships, ideally with the arts and culture sector or otherwise with not-for-profit organisations.
Good understanding and experience of utilising and reporting on brand performance metrics.
Strong commercial acumen.
Excellent project management, logistics and analytical skill.
Ability to contingency plan and adopt an agile approach in order to navigate changing needs in a COVID / post–COVID environment.
Ability to evaluate partnership proposals, asses return of investment and negotiate value from relationships.
Experience of working in large/matrix organisations, balancing multiple stakeholder requirements.
To qualify for the role you must have
Proven experience of managing high-profile sponsorships and brand campaigns (8+ years)
Strong interest in the arts and culture sector and understanding of trends and challenges
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A degree in Marketing/or a business-related degree; or equivalent work experience
