We are currently seeking a newly qualified financial accountant to work alongside talented professionals from a wide range of backgrounds within the finance department. You will be part of a culture that is results-focused, collaborative and inspirational.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this varied role involves overseeing the full month end and annual close processes, is responsible for Revenue compliance and Treasury matters to include cash flow preparation and maintenance of banking arrangements.
Key tasks will include;
Responsible for monthly financial accounting toinclude preparation of complex journals relevant to the role, preparingaccruals and prepayments, managing the chart of accounts and ensuring theoverall integrity of the firm’s financial information
Ensuring the completion of the balance sheetreconciliations each month as prepared by the accounts assistant and the timelyresolution of reconciling items
Preparation of annual partnership tax returns and the timely presentationof information to partners, working alongside the firm’s Tax partner to ensurethe firm remains fully compliant
Responsible for all Revenue returns to ensure full compliance is adheredto, including VAT, VIES, ARD and review of US tax returns.
Supervise, mentor and guide one accountsassistant
Manage the recovery process of ROI Global staffincluding the provision of monthly analysis to the Head of Finance
Monthly review and completion of cash flow
Assist Finance Manager on all banking arrangements
Responsibility for the preparation of the firm’s European reporting packin line with international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
Working with the Finance Manager to ensure policies, processes andtechnical judgments are documented and accessible to the finance function
Ad Hoc requirements and projects as requested
The ideal candidate will have/be;
Qualified (CIMA, CAI, ACCA, other relevantqualification) or nearly qualified (final exam stage)
Currently working in a finance environment
The ability to balance multiple priorities,delivering to tight deadlines through the consideration of importance and levelof urgency
An analytical mind-set with strong numeracyskills
A high degree of accuracy and a relentless attentionto detail
Strong knowledge of Excel- mustbe able to manipulate spreadsheets including sort, sum, subtotalling andcreating pivots tables. Must be proficient in the use of Excel and be willingto look at ways of using Excel to improve existing manual processes
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability tobuild and develop strong relationships across the finance team by demonstratinga strong team player role and working to assist key stakeholders and seniormanagement
Excellent communication skills – both writtenand oral
Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
