We are seeking an ambitious and driven compliance / risk professional from the financial services sector to join our Regulatory Advisory team within the Risk Advisory practice. We are looking for an energetic team player with excellent professional skills, knowledge of the regulatory environment and someone looking to develop their career. As this is a growing service line, where a candidate performs well, there will be significant opportunities for progression.

EY’s Risk Advisory practice is an integral part of our Financial Services Advisory Services business. The Advisory Services business is a fast-growing division within EY, a dynamic group focused on providing high value, independent and trusted advice to clients. The key to our success is in helping these clients solve difficult business issues via integrating a range of skills set areas from finance function performance, regulatory advisory services, risk and internal control, process transformation, IT, people and organisational change, supply chain and programme advisory.

Your responsibilities as a Manager:

  • As a manager, you will contribute to FS Risk engagements. You will work effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver assignments which exceed client expectations

  • Maintaining a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs

  • Build relationships with all levels of client management

  • Build understanding of our solutions, share knowledge and be able to draw on subject matter specialists accordingly

  • Develop relevant recommendations and solutions to improve efficiency and mitigate areas of risk

  • Work with clients to meet regulatory and compliance obligations and continually look to add value

  • Role will include working with a range of clients in a variety of locations and willingness to travel is a necessity

Qualifications/skills you’ll need as a Manager

  • The successful candidate must be energetic with a strong appetite for continuous learning

  • Good teaming and interpersonal skills and capability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • The role is relationship based and the candidate should have strong desire to help others and deliver value

  • Commitment to delivering quality work and excellent functional IT skills

  • Strong experience in a compliance role in a regulated financial services firm

  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of current financial services regulation and legislation, particularly regarding Financial Crime, Consumer Protection and Corporate Governance

  • LCOI accreditation, professional/legal qualifications and consulting experience an advantage
