At EY, we are expanding our Advisory practice and specifically building our Performance Improvement (PI) team. Due to this expansion we are seeking to recruit a senior leader at Director level in Architecture to be part of our growing business.

As an IT Architecture Director in IT Advisory, you’ll be responsible for building valuable relationships with our clients to develop a track-record of best in class Architecture advisory that is recognised throughout the market.

Client Delivery: You’ll be responsible for leading the Architecture & Design of key strategic programmes for blue-chip clients, ensuring best in class design, leveraging your knowledge and sector experience to transform client IT solutions to deliver business value.

Business Development: You’ll be responsible for providing SME support and client presentations for complex engagements or elements of highly complex programmes that require significant Architecture & Design input and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals.

Thought Leadership: Drawing on your skills and experience, you’ll create innovative insights for clients looking to leverage the latest technology developments to improve their IT service, and contribute to thought leadership.

Practice Development: You will be responsible for the ongoing development of the Architecture practice including new offerings, as well as recruitment, on boarding, ongoing mentoring and coaching.

TechnicalSkills requirements

You’ll have knowledge and experience of a number of the following areas:

  • A proven track record ofleading an Architecture practice

  • Have a proven ability to bedrive complex Architecture engagements at a detailed level across a broadrange of engagement and industries

  • Having a track record withina number of large scale IT programmes, taking ownership of theArchitecture and Design activities and outputs.

  • Have experience in seekingthe alignment of business and IT, operating across organisational andtechnology teams to drive common approaches, delivering sustainable, agileand re-usable solutions

  • Ideally accreditation andpractitioner experience of TOGAF and/or IASA

  • Be comfortable working withclient executives and senior management

  • Have worked in one or moreof the following sectors: Utilities, Banking, Consumer Goods, Tech andMedia, Public Sector, Health, Transport

Ideally to have experience in one or more of the following specialisms: Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Integration Architecture, Data Architecture, and Development Architecture

Client responsibilities

  • Lead Architecture stream ofITA engagements

  • Drive a fit for purposeArchitecture and Design aligned with client wider architecturalprinciples, policies and design

  • Work with engagement leadsto manage design milestones, and ensure effective design governance aroundkey design decisions

  • Develop our Architectureservice offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serveclients

  • Build strong internal relationshipswithin Advisory and across other services

People responsibilities

  • Develop people througheffectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff

  • Conduct performance reviewsand contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff

  • Contribute to peopleinitiatives including recruiting, retaining and training ITA Architectureprofessionals

  • Maintain an educationalprogramme to continually develop personal skills

  • Understand, follow and leadstaff in workplace policies and procedures.
