SENIOR IT PROJECT MANAGER - PAYMENTS & BANKING

At EY, we are expanding our Advisory practice and specifically building our Performance Improvement (PI) team. Due to this expansion we are seeking to recruit a leader at Senior Manager level to be part of a growing and dynamic team.

As a Senior Manager in IT Advisory, you’ll be responsible for building valuable relationships with our clients and to develop a track-record of delivery that is recognised throughout the market.

Client Delivery: You’ll be responsible for delivering key strategic engagements for our clients, ensuring service quality, leveraging your knowledge and sector experience to transform client IT and business deployments to deliver business value.

Business Development: You’ll be responsible for leading proposals and client presentations and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals. You’ll be expected to develop a strong industry profile.

Thought Leadership: Drawing on your skills and experience, you’ll create innovative insights for clients in the areas of Payments Transformation, PSD2 and Open Banking, wider payments trends and Digital transformation

TechnicalSkills requirements

You’ll have knowledge and experience of a number of the following areas:

  • A proven track record ofdelivering business value from IT as a delivery manager / senior projectmanager

  • Have a proven ability to beable to take a ‘big picture’ delivery view as well as being able to workat a detailed level across a broad range of contract types and engagementapproaches

  • Have experience in managingprocess change within organisations as a result of an IT implementation

  • A track record of deliverywithin a number of large scale IT transformation programmes, takingownership of delivery across internal client teams

  • Have experience in seekingthe alignment of business and IT, operating across organisational andtechnology silos to drive common approaches, delivering sustainable, agileand re-usable solutions

  • Previous consulting experiencewill be an advantage

  • Being comfortable workingwith client executives and senior management is a must

  • Accreditation andpractitioner experience in one or more Project Management approachesincluding PRINCE II, PMI, Agile is an advantage

  • A strong background in Bankingis desirable

Ideally to have experience in one or more of the following specialisms: Payments, Open banking, Digital Transformation

Client responsibilities

  • Lead ITA engagements andmanage senior client relations

  • Manage financial aspects ofclient engagements and communicate significant issues, fees, and estimatesto complete to vendors and clients

  • Work with EY Directors andPartners to generate new business opportunities and build client networksand relationships

  • Understand all our serviceofferings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients

  • Build strong internalrelationships within Advisory and across other services
