The Global Reporting Center of Excellence (COE) works directly with EY’s largest global audit clients, providing innovative solutions to global statutory reporting. The COE is based from our Dublin office and operates at a truly global level. Through ground-breaking technology and process, the COE transforms the hundreds of statutory audits of our firm’s largest clients. We provide business insights into our global audit strategy and execution – and we also evaluate our clients’ performance, and partner with them as they move to world class statutory reporting structures.

Role overview

An exciting opportunity has now arisen to join this fast-growing service line within EY. The Manager role works with a number of EY’s largest and most complex global audit clients, and acts as the account owner for our client portfolio and working with the primary audit teams. It is a role which requires strong inter-personal skills, high levels of exceptional client communication and engagement, and a disruptive entrepreneurial spirit.

As a Manager within the COE, you will be responsible for driving delivery of our agreed scope of services, through careful project management and by developing close working relationships your clients and the primary audit teams. Our people operate with considerable autonomy, while having the full support of the firm to draw upon when needed.

Day to day activity in thisrole

  • UsingCOE technology and processes, provide updates to primary audit teams and toclients regarding the status and execution of the statutory audit processacross the globe

  • Understandclient operations and organization to ensure that the COE service deliverymodel, and the global audit strategy, is aligned

  • Manageteams and actively coach and develop team members

  • Responsiblefor managing a portfolio of EY’s leading international clients.

  • Responsiblefor overall management of the client economics on your client portfolio.

  • Liaisonwith senior management on engagement account progress, to enable strategicdiscussion with key stakeholders and account scope expansion

  • Leadthrough example and help colleagues understand the broader picture oftechnical, ethical and financial needs, underpinning the success of the COE.

What do we look for?

  • Abilityand willingness to work primarily on challenging and complex projects

  • Abilityto foster, maintain and grow client relationships.

  • Exceptionalentrepreneurial and innovative spirit.

  • QualifiedAccountant - e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified

  • Minimumof 5 years relevant experience

  • Experiencewith International Financial Reporting Standards & US GAAP.

  • Strongverbal and written communications skills

  • Strongunderstanding of multi-national group and statutory audit.

  • Ifyou progressed to Manager level in Big 4 practice and are currently in thatrole or have spent a couple of years in industry since, then this is a greatopportunity to return to Big 4 for something different
