As a Director in Strategy, you will:

  • Have an impressive trackrecord of winning strategy work in the marketplace, underpinned with astrong, trusted network

  • Be well-respected as aStrategy practitioner, with extensive experience in leading complexstrategy processes and large scale transformation programmes;

  • Effectively manage andmotivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Fosteran innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an activerole in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within theorganisation.

  • Foster relationships withclient personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver qualityclient services. Drive high-quality work products within expectedtimeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure keystakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of currentbusiness and industry trends relevant to the client's business.

  • Cultivate and managebusiness development opportunities. Understand EY and its service linesand actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintainlong-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships withteam members across all EY practices to serve client needs.

  • Demonstrate in-depthtechnical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability toquickly assimilate to new knowledge. Possess good business acumen. Remaincurrent on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industryknowledge.

As a respected senior professional you will communicate effectively with EY engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff to build sustainable competencies.

Engagement responsibilities include:

  • Leading atsenior client levels, building 'trusted advisor' relationships across ourmarkets and industries;

  • Leading a teamto deliver engagements to time, cost and quality standards within appropriategovernance frameworks;

  • Solving businessand strategic issues through collaboration and teaming;

  • Applying knowledge andexperience to shape services to clients and present project outputs viaconcise, high quality work products;

  • Managing thefinancial aspects of engagements by organising staffing, tracking fees andcommunicating issues to project leaders;

  • Leading andparticipating in business development initiatives;

  • Building stronginternal relationships within Advisory and across other service lines.

People responsibilities include:

  • Role-modelling the EY valuesand being an advocate for people engagement in EY;

  • Developingpeople through effectively leading, coaching, and mentoring staff;

  • Conductingperformance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff;

  • Contributing topeople initiatives including recruiting, retaining and trainingprofessionals;

  • Maintaining aneducational programme to continually develop personal skills;

  • Understandingand following workplace policies and procedures.

You will have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:

  • At least 10years within a blue chip consulting firm or industry(strong track record inconsulting is highly desirable);

  • Characteristics of a forwardthinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adaptsquickly to learning new knowledge

  • Seniorstakeholder management (e.g. Board, C-Suite) and communication experience;

  • A proven track record indelivering a suite of strategy consulting services e.g.

  • Growthstrategy, to include activities such as baselining current businessperformance, benchmarking a company‚Äôs performance to its peers andcompetitors, conducting trend analyses to assess current marketlandscape,identifying growth levers, visioning andprioritising to develop a set of strategic choices, and guidingorganisations through business model reinvention.

  • OperatingModel Design and Development

  • Strategyimplementation to successfully implement a strategy across a largecomplex organisation including the design and development of long termstrategic roadmaps, implementation planning, short term plans, criticalsuccess factors and development of best practice models to integratestrategy delivery.

  • StrategicCost Reduction to include the undertaking of financial and organisationalbaselines, operational analysis to understand cost drivers, prioritisingopportunities.

  • Strong project/programmemanagement and programme governance experience.

  • Demonstrable experiencein change management;

  • Provenexperience in business development;

  • Strong academicrecord including a third level degree.
