Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. Within TAS, the Valuation & Business Modelling group helps clients understand the value of their business, securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, intangibles and other assets. The group is comprised of several key areas, including Valuation, Business Modelling and Complex Securities.
Lead and perform valuations for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax, financial reporting and litigation
Identify issues and devise solutions related to the valuation procedures executed
Lead the process of report generation
Gaining a thorough understanding of the business being valued and its market through researching and analysis, leveraging our research tools.
Interacting with clients at different levels, responding to day-to-day queries, handling client relationships over the course of a project, and attending/presenting at client meetings;
Assist with business development and marketplace activities
Develop, train and mentor team members at all levels
Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment
Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility for engagement team members
Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the market and our client's
A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 6 years of related work experience
A minimum of 4 years of direct experience utilising valuation techniques and methodologies (Discounted Cash Flow, Income Approach, Market Comparables etc.) within a business valuation firm or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, or industry
Ability to apply financial accounting, corporate finance, business analysis, and report writing skills in delivering valuation solutions for clients across all sectors
A demonstrable track record of delivering excellent service in a fast paced environment
Experience of business development and sales
Knowledge of financial modelling including experience building models from scratch in Excel
Achievement of or significant progress towards a professional accountancy qualification, CFA or related certification
Strong analytical, organisational and teaming skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
