Cybersecurity Senior Manager

We currently have a career opportunity for a cybersecurity professional to join our team in a Senior Manager role. You will join our Global Delivery Services (GDS) Cybersecurity team to lead multiple client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and lead business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts. The EY GDS Cybersecurity team, in collaboration with EY’s other service lines and industry partnerships, provides a broad services offering, including the following: Strategy, Risk, Compliance and Resilience, Identity and Access Management, Next Generation Security Operations and Response, Cybersecurity Managed Services and Security Architecture, Engineering and Emerging Technology.

  • Effectively lead and motivate multiple concurrent client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.

  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Play an active role in counseling and mentoring staff, seniors and managers within the firm.

  • Lead large scale engagements and consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and verify that key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

  • Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends, as well as developments in advisory services capabilities that are relevant to clients’ environments.

  • Possess in-depth business acumen. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.

  • Demonstrate solid technical capabilities, serving as a subject-matter resource (SMR) in one or more technical disciplines.

  • Well-versed in interacting with CXO and board-level stakeholders, while exhibiting diplomacy and tact when presenting topics.

  • Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge. Improve internal capabilities and processes of the practice.

  • Generate new business opportunities. Achieve operational excellence. Consistently close deals. Deliver profitable growth. Consistently grow engagement pipeline.

  • A minimum of ten or more years of experience in one or more of the following: risk management; cyber security; governance; and compliance management life cycle.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop new engagement opportunities in the cybersecurity technical consulting space and the ability to contribute to the development of client deliverables and technical content

  • Strong relationships within the Cybersecurity and IT executive ranks (e.g., CIO, CISO, Director of Information Security, SVP and VP of Information Security)

  • Good understanding of relevant technologies, such as IAM tools, SIEM, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and data diodes.

  • Understanding of relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations pertinent to utility environments, such as NIST SP 800-53/82, NERC CIP, NEI 08-09, ISA 99, NIST CSF and C2M2.

  • Able to manage multiple projects, assignments, verifying that the work conforms to SoW and engagement requirements. Skill with necessary COTS tools to manage projects, support analytics, and engagement economics (e.g., MS Office); skill with or ability to learn EY internal economics tools.

  • Capable of performing and interpreting engineering analyses, assessments, audits or penetration testing reports. Write technical and business reports. Capable of making oral presentations and communicating with business and technical stakeholders, including large groups.

  • CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA. Non-certified hires are required to become certified within one year from the date of hire. Related technical and vendor certifications (e.g., CEH, CCNA, MCSA, GICSP) are desirable, but not required.
