Within Advisory Services our SAP team works collaboratively with our clients to manage engagements and lead teams in all aspects of design and delivery of information solutions. The needs of our clients are driven by global trends such as big data, cloud computing and the increased complexity of data structures. In order to reinforce our SAP team, we are currently seeking experienced professionals to support client engagement teams and to work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services. We currently have a career opportunity for a Manager. The successful Manager will work with and through the EY area offices to assist clients with a variety of needs. The goal is to support our area offices as they build their individual practices and work to facilitate their clients' efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient. To meet that objective, our service offering includes, among others, the analysis of specific business requirements that will translate into sound technology architecture, infrastructure designs and vendor selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Advisory Services by managing project teams through agreed upon phases of the SAP project governance, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training and rollout of a client's project lifecycle. They will also provide business development assistance

  • Assist in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the ERP Advisory market, specifically for SAP BPC initiatives. These will then be shared with all EY market facing organizations to provide consistency and common platforms with which to go to market

  • Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances

  • Demonstrate quality project execution and delivery by successfully monitoring project/program team economics, performance against the job arrangement and budget, and proactively adjust scope, timing, and resources as appropriate and if necessary

  • Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Delegate work successfully. Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training. Lead by example

  • Generate new business opportunities by thoroughly understanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing and presenting ways to apply knowledge and services

  • Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally

  • Provide product trainings to clients and perform presales activities and product demonstrations

  • Manage and supervise a team of technology professionals through all phases of the technology lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing

  • Interact and communicate effectively with finance and technology senior and middle management executives

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience

  • a degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field (MBA or MS degree prefer red)

  • 3-5 years of experience working with SAP in business operations, corporate finance or enterprise technology, with at least 1 year spent in a managerial and IT/business integration role

  • Must have 3-5 years of working experience with BPC Standard and Embedded, knowledge of BPC Optimized, HANA expertise and knowledge of BW/4HANA and S/4HANA are considered a plus

  • Strong Financial Planning and/or Consolidation experience

  • Experience with financial systems and the corresponding business processes and reporting environments

  • Knowledge or experience with SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus

  • approximately 4 years of practical industry/technology experience

  • strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills

  • a proven track record of developing and mentoring junior resources through the career progression

  • ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies

  • knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to industry specific finance and technology functions

  • prior advisory industry experience preferred

The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel 70-90% of a work schedule
