Job Summary:

The Account Activation Role is a dual hat role, part in the Global Account Activation team and part in the Area to break bulk in terms of implementation support for that Area. This role will be the key conduit of information between the Global and the Region layers of the CoE (Center of Expertise) to cascade global Account Activation strategy to the regions. This role will leverage proximity and relationships at the Global, Area and Regions to facilitate, encourage and drive successful implementation of global Client Management and Account Activation strategy at the region level. The Account Activation Role is responsible for supporting the Area Activation Leader to activate Client Management in the regions.

Essential Functions of the Job:


  • Act as a key conduit of information between the Global and the Region Client Management layers

  • Be able to position the benefits of the Account Management Framework (AMF) and Account Acceleration with Area and Regional leadership and Global Client Service Partners (GCSPs)

  • Team closely with Area Activation Leader to activate Account Activation as cascaded by Global Leadership in the area with particular focus on the AMF and Account Acceleration

  • Cascade global best practice, process consistency and synergies for Account Activation to the regions, through acting as a conduit of information between Global and Regions

  • Provide consistent direction and drive synergies across the regions

  • Build relationships with Global and Regional leadership e.g.: Region Account Leaders (RALs), Business Development Leaders (BDLs), Service Line (SL) and Growth driver leaders to enable successful activation and implementation of Account Activation strategy and plans at region level

  • Leverage proximity and relationships with Global, Area and Regions to facilitate and encourage successful implementation of Client Management in the regions

  • Instill Exceptional Client Service (ECS) Principles into the end-to-end CoE process at the Area / Region level

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Global Head of Account Activation, determine the deployment plans for Area Accounts for both the G360 and Core accounts.

  • Translate EY firm-wide (e.g. Vision 2020) and business development strategic priorities within Area Account Activation function and together with key stakeholders determine implementation priorities

  • Under the guidance of the Global Head of Account Activation determine the recruiting and headcount needs for the function at Area level

  • Regularly review and assess the success and effectiveness of the Area Account activation function, addressing issues as they arise

Supervision Responsibilities

  • The Area Account Activation Leader has direct supervisory responsibility for the Area Account Activation Support team and will need to make decisions regarding personnel performance of this team

  • Ensure that strong and effective relationships are built and maintained with the GDS/offshore teams at Area level

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong business acumen

  • Highly proficient in Account Management and Client delivery principles

  • Solid understanding of EY’s Account Management Framework and how it is applied.

Other Requirements

  • Depending on regional geography, some travel is required as well as attending Area leadership meetings/training. From time to time, internal and external obligations may require working after normal business hours.Job Requirements:


  • University/Bachelor degree required

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • (This should be modified per region to meet cultural education requirements as determined by recruiting)


  • Approximately 10-12 years plus of previous sales / Account Activation experience preferable

  • Experience working in a large Global organization preferred

  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

Certification Requirements

  • Expected to remain current on relevant EY training and curriculum (e.g. Account Management Framework (AMF), Lead Badges, among others
