The opportunity

Within FSO IT Advisory, the Enterprise Architecture competency works collaboratively with clients to transform their business through disruptive innovation enablement and transformational design solutions. The team supports our clients in modernizing systems, processes and products to enhance business and customer-facing platforms and services to support high performance in a rapidly changing and competitive environment. The team leverages Microservices, Cloud, Omni channel integration, API Management and open source technologies to enable end to end automation with safe and sound architecture at optimum cost.

The Enterprise Architecture team is changing the way they our clients interact with their customers, employees and partners alike. We are modernizing their applications, creating new ones and driving business efficiency across their ever-changing platform and channel infrastructures. Your key responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for working directly with clients to transform their business problems through architecture solutions. You will manage standalone projects or multiple client engagements which includes: service delivery, identifying future sales opportunities, and practice development activities. The individual will provide leadership to employees, manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress, and demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

  • Demonstrate hands-on technical capabilities that support enterprise architecture solution development.

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking through a proven ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practice and new application technologies.

  • Ability to maintain long-term client relationships, network, and cultivate business development opportunities

  • Provide high quality client services by directing daily progress of engagement work, informing engagement manager of engagement status, and managing staff performance.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelors degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience at a financial services company or consulting firm; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.

  • Ability to manage teams of technical advisors through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion, and testing; based on a proven methodology.

  • Experience in designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs, TDD, Spring Contract, Swagger

  • Hands-on experience building applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture. Includes experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.

  • Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines)

  • Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment

  • Design & architecture large business critical systems

  • Working experience with containerized platforms like Docker, Kubernetes in the cloud platforms (AWS/Google/Azure)

  • Good understanding and experience with NoSQL database (MongoDB and API)

  • Strong experience in DevOps process and tools like Jenkins/Bamboo/UrbanCode also build technology like Maven/Gradle.

  • Must have experience assisting clients with Strategic Big Data initiatives within the financialservices industry working with BI teams, Data Integration developers, Data Scientists, Analysts and DBA’s to deliver well-architected and scalable Big Data & Analytics eco-systems.

  • Experience in architecting Big Data applications using Hadoop technologies such as Spark, MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, Elasticsearch, Cassandra.

  • Experience with at least one major Hadoop platform (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR)

  • Strong Experience with event stream processing technologies such as Spark streaming, Storm, Akka, Kafka

  • Implementation and Development experience in SOA (for e.g., Service Orchestration, Service Choreography, Event Driven Architecture, Messaging middleware, etc.)

  • Experience with at least one programming language (Java, Scala, Python)

  • Proven track record of architecting Distributed Solutions dealing with real high volume of data

  • Hands on experience with data ingestion patters (Flume, Sqoop)

  • Experience with Enterprise Integration Design Patterns.

  • Functional exposure to risk systems, regulatory systems, or customer 360

  • Experience working on MuleSoft for Orchestration and Integration.

  • Experience securing and managing APIs via MuleSoft API Manager

  • Must have ability to design API centric solutions with experience in at least one relevant tool.

  • Expert understanding in various technology stacks, BRMS and Event Processing Technologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations using tools such as PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Visio

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

  • Understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and platforms, big data design patters, graph databases and source control.

  • Experience developing schemas and related data structures.

  • Experience with service design, profiling & governance, continuous integration/continuous development, and DevOps

  • Experience implementing security such as OAuth, SAML, Single Sign On, Mobile Device Management, etc.
