Managed Services is a portfolio of offerings across practices and sectors focused on providing co-sourcing and leveraging a cloud technology platform and asset based subscription services. The practices within Advisory Services include: Actuarial, Analytics, Customer, Cybersecurity, Digital, Finance, Financial Services, Risk Management, Internal Audit, IT Advisory (e.g. SAP, Oracle), People Advisory Services, Program Management, Risk Assurance, Risk Transformation, Strategy, Supply Chain and Operations, and Construction and Real estate Advisory Services. Managed Services is expected to continue to grow significantly in the coming years alongside EY’s traditional project-based work.
This is a targeted growth area within out Advisory practice that EY is excited about continuing to expand! This individual will be instrumental in making that happen and helping to continue to define this offering for the firm. You will have the opportunity to build relationships both internally and externally, while helping to innovate new and exciting Managed Services solutions.
Your key responsibilities
You will need partner relationship development skills, experience structuring end-to-end managed services solutions and pricing, and the strong desire to be part of a high-growth team. Working collaboratively with EY Client Partners, pursuit teams, and practice teams, you will orchestrate all managed services pursuits within your assigned territory, primarily with existing clients, in order to successfully hit targeted annual revenue goals.
Skills and attributes for success
In this role your focus will be on pre-sales and you’ll deliver results through the following:
Working with targeted account teams in identifying potential areas for a managed services opportunity and assisting pursuit teams in driving their managed services opportunity forward in the sales cycle
Collaborating with pursuit teams in structuring the best of EY practices and alliances into an end-to-end managed services solutions addressing clients’ most complex issues
Pricing: Supporting pursuit teams with structuring the managed services pricing. Working with EY Center for Negotations on alternative deal pricing structures
Contract Terms: Working with EY Center for Negotations and Legal to support pursuit teams with Managed Services terms and conditions within MSAs and SOWs
Pre-sales proposal support: Collaborating with pursuit teams in developing managed services content within the proposals or solutions
Solution campaigns: Working with the EY Marketing team to develop push and pull campaigns for key strategic Managed Services offerings
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of related work experience or a graduate degree and a minimum of 6 years of related work experience
At least 5 years’ experience in providing blended advisory services in the following focus areas: Managed Services/Application Maintenance Services/Business Process Outsourcing, Cloud Services/IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, Proposal/Solutions development, , Managed Services/Outsourcing Deal Structures, Sales Support, Pipeline development, Pricing, Marketing, Campaign development
Background in selling and structuring Managed Services solutions in regards to our current practices, sectors, and offerings
Proven track record of understanding business challenges and translating them into value-add managed services solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 80%. You must possess a valid US driver’s license and passport
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science or related
