The Executive Talent Team (ETT) provides Talent support to all functions within the Executive, working closely with the Talent Executive and Regional Talent teams on the execution of Talent priorities, initiatives and standard talent activities (eg, performance management and talent management). Made up of experienced HR, Learning & Development and Reward professionals who are committed to helping the Executive's functions achieve their strategic objectives, ETT works with functional leadership teams to engage and develop their approximately 24,000 (and rising) people throughout the world (100+ countries).

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the team for a 12 month, fixed term secondment / maternity cover.
This role sits within the ETT Talent Development and Learning team (a team of 12 experienced and passionate TD&L professionals) and provides an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for talent development, coaching, counsellor excellence and leadership development. The role sits under the Careers and Development Leader and will work on significant careers and development related projects and activities including those relating to coaching culture; on the job coaching and feedback; counsellor excellence; development and career conversations; highest performing teams; onboarding; and supporting the embedding of behaviour change as part on our ongoing performance management process.
As such this is a broad role that will touch upon all of the components of a successful leadership, careers and development approach within the Executive whilst also having the opportunity to engage and work on other learning and development initiatives as required.
This role will receive general direction rather than supervision. The successful candidate must be able to manage stakeholders and work virtually. It will be essential to build effective working relationships with the Talent organization globally, and with sponsors and stakeholders to deliver timely, high quality outputs to meet objectives.
Key responsibilities (analytical / decision making / supervisory):
As part of the core responsibilities, the Careers and Development Consultant will:
Manage and lead (which will include the defining, designing and deploying of) new and existing Career and Development projects.For example, these projects will include the management and execution of the Executive Caoching Ambassadors network; the creation and execution of the Counsellor Excellence initiatives supporting on the job coaching and counsellor skills development; the embedding of our talent review and succession planning process; providing support to the Career Frameworks initative and Executive pilots; development of onboarding processes and Executive resources; and other approved TD&L initiatives.These projects may be exclusive to the Executive but will also drive forward our firmwide talent aims and agenda.It will be critical for the individual within the role to determine the business value that will be driven from such projects.As such they will need to work closely with key stakeholders (who are often very senior, and almost always virtual) to understand the agenda of the Executive organization and our functions
Projects will be of varying complexity, but in the main they will be of a medium to high complexity, as they will meet the needs of our global population that spans across a multitude of countries, cultures, functions, job ranks and roles.As well as the management and leading of projects this individual will be required to successfully evaluate the effectiveness of projects.Provide analysis, reports (charters, status reports, meeting minutes, process documentation) and recommendations based on the findings to drive continuous improvement and raising of our performance management and development bar
Coach or advise others on specified topics and be required to lead small work teams
Be an active member of Global Workstream for the Counselor Excellence (CE) initiatives to share the Executive's point of view as well as lead & co develop/own an area of the CE workstream vision, plans & deliverables
Manage core processes for existing programmes.These will include the management of our coaching ambassador network; counselling excellence plans; and the refining and improving of our collateral as hosted on our intranet pages
Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, stakeholders; and key Talent leaders. Manage their expectations; negotiate with and influence them to overcome any issues that arise
Collaborate effectively with HR Business Partners, other ETT team members and client stakeholders to ensure that Carees and Development solutions, tools & processes are effectively integrated into the business agenda
Work with the Talent Executive and other Talent teams in the EY organization to share and leverage leading practices; increase collaboration; and avoid redundant efforts.
Knowledge, skills and experience requirements:
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the EY Executive organization (within a reasonable timeframe)
Explore business needs to determine appropriate solutions
Work with key stakeholders to determine the scope and schedule for initiatives

Provide executive coaching based on coaching certification and / or experience

Good listening and communication skills
Qualifications, certifications and education requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Experience working in a professional services organization
Minimum 5 years Talent Development experience
Experience of working in a cross-border, virtual environment would be beneficial
Track record of driving results related to leadership and career development
Experience of successfully influencing senior stakeholders and driving an agenda from vision to implementation
Experience with working with external providers
