The opportunity

As a Relationship Program Strategist, you will strategically position EY’s distinctive brand () through a range of integrated marketing programs aimed at buyer groups within the US West region.Success in this role will be the effective deployment of buyer, Center for Board Matters, Alumni and alliance programs across the region. The individual selected will be expected to reside on the West Coast and desired locations are Houston, Dallas, Austin, Las Vegas, Portland, Phoenix, Tucson or San Diego.

Your key responsibilities

Working closely with the Integrated Marketing Center of Excellence (COE), Service Line Marketers, key stakeholders and Region Field Marketing Strategists, you will play a crucial role in meeting go-to-market objectives and achieving revenue goals by developing the buyer program marketing plan, as well as leading the implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of a wide range of marketing activities, including, event development and management, thought leadership distribution and the use of digital and social media marketing.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal marketing stakeholders, manage expectations and build trust

  • Ability to engage and collaborate in virtual peer networks with other Region Relationship Program Strategists to develop and deploy key geographic programs and share best practices knowledge and case studies

  • Adept at overseeing the development and deployment of multi-channel campaigns (PR, paid social, web, conference / events, strategic partnerships) across a geography

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent marketing initiatives

  • Strength in working independently to resolve challenges while maintaining an active dialogue with leaders and stakeholders

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum of 7-8 plus years of marketing and communications experience, with industry and/or professional services experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a marketing or communications major or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) as well as listening and interpretation skills including the talent to translate complex technical concepts into compelling marketing messages

  • Proven talent at building relationships and influencing without authority to produce results and outcomes

  • Possesses poise and confidence to professionally interact with all levels of leadership and team across groups of diverse stakeholders

  • A proven track record of success in a large, global and highly matrixed enterprise, ideally in the professional and/or financial services industry

  • Solid understanding of advanced marketing and communication principles and go-to-market and sales processes in a complex organization

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong project management skills and proficiency at effectively managing multiple complex and time-sensitive projects

  • Efficient time management and prioritization skills

  • Adept at working independently as well as within virtual teams

  • Strong leadership skills to coach and develop junior level team members
