Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. The Executive Talent Team (ETT) provides talent support to the Executive Leadership and nearly 30 different functions that form the Executive, each of which are at various stages of globalization and transformation. The approximately 14,000 people within the Executive are employed in member firms throughout the world (in 100+ countries). Our mission is to create the highest performing teams, delivering exceptional client service worldwide to this complex virtual organization. We do this by working closely with the function leaders on a number of priority initiatives and standard talent activities (e.g., performance management, talent management). We also work closely with the Regional Talent Teams through our distributed model to ensure that local processes such as employee relations support are available, as required, to our leaders and people.
This role acts as a Talent Consultant for several of our functions within Global Markets, including our Global Business Development teams. This role is the interface between the functional leadership teams and the Talent Team (ETT and Regional teams) and supports the leadership team with the global implementation of their business strategy. It provides strategic-level consultation on HR related programs and processes in-line with the Executive Talent strategy. This role has global reach and will be responsible for coordinating talent initiatives with Regional Talent teams around the world.
This role requires a deep understanding of both the business direction and HR/Talent related topics/issues to ensure successful implementation of key, high-touch people processes and initiatives on a global scale. The role partners closely with the other specialisms within the ETT (such as L&D, Reward, Recruiting) to ensure seamless execution of talent initiatives across the Executive.
This position must be able to manage virtual stakeholder expectations and communications. It will be essential to build effective working relationships within the talent organization globally, and with sponsors and stakeholders to deliver timely, high quality initiatives to meet objectives.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Serves as primary contact point for designated senior leaders within Global Markets
Provides coaching and counseling to senior leadership team on global talent issues and initiatives
Analyzes information, makes recommendations and helps implement global plans and change initiatives that will drive business results.
Makes key decisions and suggestions based on a solid understanding of talent principles, business objectives and needs analysis.
Supports talent processes, including but not limited to:
Career development, coaching, and mentoring
Integration of global processes and programs
Partner, Director and staff promotions
Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and stakeholders; manage their expectations; negotiate with and influence them to overcome any issues that arise within specific talent initiatives
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the EY organization
Play active role and establishes solid relationships within the ETT on projects, initiatives and team activities.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Makes key decisions and suggestions based on a solid understanding of talent principles
Assesses situations to determine risk mitigation and escalates to appropriate parties (e.g. General Counsel Office (GCO), Risk Management, etc.)
May provide input on organizational restructuring, staffing, leadership assessments or other key business/talent initiatives
Interpretation of data related to headcount, salary, budgets, etc. to provide insight on trends and potential issues (e.g. attrition)
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel; some limited international travel may be required
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience; Advanced degree preferred
7-10 years proven HR generalist/business partnering experience (e.g., performance management, employee relations)
Relevant experience, e.g. involved in / delivering / managing talent initiatives
Experience working in a consulting organization or in professional services
Prior experience working in a cross-border, virtual environment
