EY’s Global Entity Compliance & Governance team (ECG) team are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to support their increasing global engagement portfolio. This is a great opportunity to join a global professional services firm to work with a variety of clients on exciting global projects. The opportunity

Our Global ECG team, which complements the work of our GCR (Global Compliance and Reporting) team, provides a much needed solution to help multinational clients manage the increasing regulatory and legislative demands they face in fulfilling their statutory compliance and reporting requirements. The team specialise in coordinating the outsourced compliance work for some of EY’s largest clients in EMEIA and worldwide. The successful individual will be based in Warsaw as part of EY’s Centre of Excellence and will work closely with our core central management team in London which acts as a single point of contact between the client and the EY global network for all ECG services.

Your key responsibilities

The successful applicant will work on key client accounts, where they will be involved in the coordination of multi-jurisdiction engagements. They will act as the day-to-day support for the central engagement team, driving the annual compliance deliverables through to completion and facilitating the communication chain between the central team and the EY local offices. In addition, a key component of the role will be the updating and maintenance of the clients’ legal entity management databases as well as taking responsibility for driving the billing process. As a Senior Consultant you will also be expected to report upwards to management as well as oversee and support the Consultants in the team.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Coordination of multi-jurisdiction engagements, including project set-up, transition, health checks, on-going delivery and event driven changes;

  • Help drive the annual compliance process for key client accounts

  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders within the EY network

  • Lead day-to-day status meetings/calls

  • Communicate effectively with the core central management team and the local EY offices

  • Liaise, coordinate and provide regular reporting to central management team in London

  • Liaise with other internal EY teams (e.g. EY Law, GCR etc.)

  • Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors

  • Ensure client’s legal entity databases are updated accurately and efficiently

  • Identify and implement possible process improvements

  • Help to drive strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency

  • Support in the development of junior members of the team

  • Assisting with proposals including pricing, proposal materials and technology demonstrations

  • Liaise with other internal EY teams (e.g. EY Law, GCR etc.)

  • Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Degree or equivalent educational qualification or higher

  • Ability to take ownership and drive tasks through to completion

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fluent in English written and spoken

  • Good knowledge of Excel

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working in a professional services firm and client delivery

  • Experience working on multi-jurisdictional projects

  • Project management experience

  • Good understanding of corporate governance

  • Additional language skills (German preferable, but not essential)
