Responsibilities

  • Participatein performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/orspecialized issues.

  • Collaborateto plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies withprofessional standards and appropriately addresses risk.

  • Developand maintain productive relationships with client management throughoutthe year.

  • Understandthe client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, businesstrends, and emerging technical and industry developments.

  • Stayinformed of general business/economic developments and their impact to theclient.

  • Establishexpectations of value to be delivered.

  • Developpeople by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibilityfor their contributions to the team.

  • Delegatework successfully; conduct timely performance reviews and provideperformance feedback/training.

  • Usetechnology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, andenhance service delivery.

  • Maintainan educational program to continually develop skills.

  • Maintaincooperative relationships with other engagement teams.

  • Monitorthe engagement team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed.

  • Generatenew business opportunities.

  • UnderstandEY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to applyknowledge and services.

  • Developlong-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.

To qualify for this highly visible position and an excellent opportunity for career advancement, candidates must have:

  • Undergraduatedegree in Accounting or related field

  • Post-graduatediploma or degree in Accounting preferred

  • CanadianCPA/CA designation or reciprocal CPA/CA designation recognized with CPA ismandatory

  • Minimum5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm

  • Excellentproject management skills

  • Advancedwritten and verbal communication skills

  • Adedication to teamwork and leadership

  • Integritywithin a professional environment
