About Program Mercury:
Program Mercury is a large, multi-year, enterprise-wide process transformation that will replace more than 1400 EY business systems and related processes with an integrated, SAP-centric platform. It will standardize and harmonize activities throughout the organization and significantly improve how EY manages its business. Program Mercury is a key enabler of EY’s Vision 2020, directly supporting the efforts of several transformation initiatives across the Firm by streamlining the application portfolio, reducing operating costs and providing a platform to deliver services more efficiently.
About the Mercury Support Team (MST)
As an organization jointly owned by the business and IT, MST is a centralized and global organization which will provide operational support for the delivered Mercury solution and manage and support the Mercury user community. The MST will play an integral role in governance of the Mercury solution and the global template from both a business and IT perspective. It will evolve to work closely with the business in enabling the benefit and value to be realized from the investment in Program Mercury and to set the future direction and technology road map to support Vision 2021+.
The Senior Release Planning Analyst will help to co-ordinate all releases related to the Mercury landscape. This role will work closely with multiple teams to identify conflicts with implementations within Mercury and EY Global IT. The Senior Analyst will work to remediate any conflicts, but if unable, will raise a risk to MST Leadership. The Senior Release Planning Analyst will liaise with other leaders in the MST and Program Mercury to develop a release schedule with the lowest risk possible. The ideal candidate will have knowledge about the Release Management process and about the deployment’s lifecycle along with the interdependencies of the various SAP modules used by Mercury.
Your key responsibilities:
Manage internal issues escalated from the team to remove barriers preventing them from performing their assigned activities
Identify process / work activity improvements for areas indirectly related deployment planning activities
Proven track record with performing risk analysis across multiple environments
Clearly articulates problems and proposed solutions
Provide quality metrics and reporting
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Good communication to all levels of the organization
Ability to understand technical aspects and communicate them in business terminology
Skills and attributes for success:
+5 yrs of experience working within multi-location global teams
Release Management skills
ERP or systems implementation experience (SAP preferred)
Understands and integrates cultural differences and succeed working in virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams.
Experience working in large programs of work
Adjusts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people within and outside of IT (IT and Business) to balance demands
Builds good relationships both within own team and with other teams
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
Adopts a logical, organized approach to problem resolution
Prioritizes personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives
